Yes, Dollar accepts prepaid gift cards (American Express, MasterCard, and Visa) for payment when returning a rental, not for reserving one. Note: Dollar doesn't provide prepaid gift cards. Also, we won't ask for your prepaid card details over the phone, as these cards are only accepted during the return process.
Does Dollar charge a fee to return the car rental early?
Yes, If you return your rental car more than 24 hours early without prepaying, you'll be charged an Early Return Fee of $25. This fee helps cover the time the vehicle was reserved for you but not used. You can reduce this fee by calling the On-Rent Help Desk at 1-866-434-2226 to update your return date and time.
